‘Question Time, QI and Mock the Week criticised by BBC diversity report’
A report commissioned by the BBC for the Cultural Diversity Network states that
BBC 1’s Question Time and Mock the Week only feature “token women” on their panels, while drama, comedy and entertainment feature older people as “peripheral or token figures”. There were also concerns raised that Strictly Come Dancing features older contestants like Ann Widdecombe as “figures of fun”.

    Women on Mock the week just aren’t funny. And as for Question Time, the treatment of Scottish and Welsh questions is so biased as to put tokenism in the shade.
