Tim Minchin on the importance of good journalism

Tim Minchin, the Australian-born actor and comedian, sent a video message of support for The Journalism Foundation, communicating his thoughts on why journalism is currently at a crossroads. Click on the video above to hear his thoughts.

Best known for his unique brand of sharply satirical musical comedy, Minchin is the co-writer of the Olivier Award-winning hit musical Matilda the Musical, based on the much-loved Roald Dahl children’s book. Minchin’s star has been in the ascendant since his breakthrough performance at 2005 Melbourne International Comedy Festival and overwhelming critical acclaim at the 2005 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
