Operating an independent blog which reports on the UK borough of Stoke-on-Trent, Mike Rawlins aims to report on local issues in an unbiased apolitical manner. His website, Pits n Pots, is representative of the high quality local reporting being done by citizens (as well as journalists) around the world. The Foundation hopes to support Pits n Pots as it develops its engagement with the local community. read more »
Media freedom
The Journalism Foundation, in conjunction with City University London, is working with the Syndicat National des Journalistes Tunisiens to provide one of the first practical courses for journalists in Tunisia since the revolution. The course will attempt to address Tunisian journalists’ specific needs across television, radio, print and online, to take advantage of newfound freedoms. read more »
